North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is proud to announce the adoption of its budget for the 2025-2026 school year. During a meeting held on June 20, 2025, the school board trustees officially approved a balanced budget totaling $66,899,741, representing a 2.6% increase compared to the current fiscal year’s budget. This achievement reflects rigorous financial management and a student-centered vision.
This 2.6% increase covers the salary adjustments granted to employees by the Ministry of Education. The budget does not include any staff reductions, thereby confirming the CSPNE’s commitment to staff stability and the quality of services offered in its schools.
Yves Laliberté, Director of Education, expresses his pride:
“I am particularly proud of this fifth balanced budget, which reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting current needs while keeping an eye on the future. It allows us to continue investing in our schools, services, and environments conducive to student growth.”
Denis Labelle, Chair of the Board, also emphasizes:
“This budget enables us to maintain an excellent staffing ratio in our schools, an essential factor in providing quality support to every student. We are proud to welcome all our students into environments that foster their development and success.”
The adoption of this budget demonstrates CSPNE’s commitment to providing high-quality French-language public education while investing in the future of the school communities it serves.
