Appointment of Ms. Natalie Joncas-Raymond as Director of Education at CSPNE

North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Natalie Joncas-Raymond as Director of Education and Secretary-Treasurer, effective September 1, 2025, for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. This appointment follows the announcement of the retirement of Mr. Yves Laliberté, who was appointed to this position in the spring of 2020.

With over 28 years of experience in education, including 18 years as principal at various elementary, secondary, and adult education schools, Ms. Joncas-Raymond joined CSPNE in 2021. She initially served as Superintendent of Education, then as Superintendent of Business, leading numerous key initiatives in areas such as human resources, finance, IT, pedagogy, mental health, equity, student transportation, capital projects, and early childhood services.

Ms. Joncas-Raymond shared her thoughts on the appointment: “I am honoured to take on the role of Director of Education at CSPNE. I am committed to strengthening initiatives that aim to offer every student and staff member an inclusive, innovative, and supportive school environment that fosters both success and well-being. Together, with our dedicated teams, we will continue to promote French-language public education across our diverse communities.”

Recognized for her collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and deep understanding of Ontario’s education system, Ms. Joncas-Raymond stands out for her ability to create open, dynamic learning environments focused on the growth of each student. Her career reflects a strong and sincere commitment to the advancement of French-language public education.

Over the past four years, we have greatly valued her contributions as Superintendent of Education and Superintendent of Business.
