North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Cindy Bergeron as Principal of École secondaire publique Renaissance, effective August 18. Ms. Bergeron will succeed Mr. Roch Mageau, who recently announced his departure from the school.
With twenty years of experience in the field of education, Ms. Bergeron currently holds the position of education consultant in special education within the Conseil. She previously worked at École secondaire publique Renaissance as a teacher and guidance counsellor, supporting many students in their academic and personal journeys.
Thanks to her compassionate leadership, her expertise in special education, and her familiarity with the Renaissance school community, Ms. Bergeron is well-equipped to ensure a smooth transition and to contribute fully to the school’s continuity, vibrancy, and growth in a spirit of collaboration.
The Director of Education, Mr. Yves Laliberté, is confident that Ms. Bergeron will ensure a positive continuity for the Francophone and Francophile school community of Timmins and the broader CSPNE team. He stated, “We are confident that Ms. Bergeron’s appointment will be an asset to the students, staff, families, and community partners of École secondaire publique Renaissance. Her commitment to student well-being and success is clear. We know that she envisions maintaining close collaboration with the school team and system staff to achieve the goals of both the school and the CSPNE.”
