Appointment of Ms. Natasha Lessard as Principal of École publique Héritage

North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Natasha Lessard as school principal at École publique Héritage, effective August 18. She will succeed Ms. Angelle Martel-Davies, who was recently appointed as Director of Inclusion and Cultural Integration within the Conseil. Ms. Lessard has been serving as Vice-Principal at École publique Héritage for the past two years. 

With over 20 years of experience in education, Ms. Lessard has held various positions including teacher, resource teacher, identity development coordinator, and most recently, Vice-Principal at École publique Héritage. She is recognized for her instructional leadership, commitment to equity, inclusion, and student well-being, as well as her ability to engage school teams in a culture of continuous improvement. 

Mr. Yves Laliberté, Director of Education, is confident that “Ms. Lessard’s energy, human-centered approach, and expertise will greatly contribute to the continued growth of École publique Héritage and to the success of all its students.” 

The CSPNE extends its sincere congratulations to Ms. Lessard on her appointment and wishes her much success in her new role. 

The position of vice-principal at École publique Héritage in North Bay, currently held by Ms. Lessard, will be posted shortly to ensure a smooth transition for students, parents, and the school community in preparation for the 2025–2026 school year.
