Retirement of Mr. Yves Laliberté, Director of Education at CSPNE

North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario announces the retirement of its Director of Education, Mr. Yves Laliberté, at the end of the current school year. After a remarkable career in French-language education, including the last four years at the head of the CSPNE, he will be stepping down from his position, leaving behind a significant contribution to the French-language public school system. 

With a Bachelor of Education from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration from Laurentian University, Mr. Laliberté has worked in the field of education for over 30 years. He began his career in the classroom before taking on leadership roles, including high school principal, success leader, and Superintendent of Education and Finance. In 2020, he was appointed CSPNE's Director of Education, a position in which he demonstrated inspirational leadership, with a vision focused on innovation, equity and the well-being of students and staff. 

Mr. Laliberté has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication, supported by unwavering dynamism and availability. His commitment to educational excellence and the well-being of our students and staff has been a key driver of the development of our Board. His positive influence and strategic vision continue to inspire our organization. We express our deep gratitude for his dedicated service to our families and communities. We wish him a well-deserved retirement," said Denis Labelle, President of the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario. 

The entire team at the Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario would like to acknowledge Mr. Laliberté's dedication. We sincerely thank him for his commitment to French-language education and for his contribution to the development of our Board. We wish him a well-deserved and happy retirement. 

The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario has begun a hiring process to ensure a smooth transition to the next Director of Education.
