North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Angelle Martel as Direction de service de l'inclusion et de l'intégration culturelle. Ms. Martel will officially assume her new role in August 2025.
This new position addresses a growing need within CSPNE, given the increasing number of employees and families from immigrant backgrounds. In alignment with its vision, "A place for everyone, success for all," CSPNE is committed to providing a welcoming, warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for all families and employees. This new role will help CSPNE and its schools implement the necessary procedures and tools to bring this vision to life.
This temporary position was created thanks to one-time funding allocated by the Ministry of Education to support CSPNE’s ongoing efforts in equity and inclusion.
The Director of Education, Mr. Yves Laliberté, expressed his confidence in Ms. Martel, stating:
"We are certain that this appointment will be a great asset to students, their families, and our entire staff across our territory. With her many years of experience, particularly in systemic roles, she will contribute to implementing our vision and achieving our goals in student well-being and success within CSPNE."
The principal position at École publique Héritage in North Bay will soon be posted to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for students, parents, and the school community at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
