The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario announces that the school calendars for the Board’s Northern region have been officially approved by the Ministry of Education.
This approval follows a process carried out in collaboration with partner school boards in Northeastern Ontario to harmonize school calendars across the North.
The approved calendars will come into effect for the 2026–2027 school year. They apply to schools located in Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, and New Liskeard, and take into account educational priorities, local realities, as well as transportation needs.
The calendars are now available on our website and can be consulted at any time. The files are also attached to this release.
