North Bay, Ontario – The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE), during its annual organizational meeting held on Friday, December 5, 2025, proceeded with the re-election of its Chair and the election of two new Vice-Chairs for the 2025–2026 school year.
During the meeting, Mr. Denis Labelle was re-elected as Chair for a 25th year, marking an important milestone in his long-standing service to the Board. This re-election reflects the Board’s continued confidence in his leadership and the key role he plays at the CSPNE.
“It is truly an honour to continue my commitment to the Board for a 25th year. I begin this new term with great pride. Together with the administration and the trustees, we will continue to foster a healthy, safe, inclusive, and caring environment for the benefit of our entire school community,” said Denis Labelle, Chair of the Board.
The CSPNE is also proud to announce the election of Ms. Cindy Sabourin as Vice-Chair for the Northern Region and Mr. Michel Faucon as Vice-Chair for the Southern Region. Their collaboration will support the Chair and contribute to advancing the Board’s priorities for the upcoming school year.
Presentation of the 2024–2025 Annual Report
During the meeting, trustees also received the 2024–2025 Annual Report, which highlights the year’s major achievements, the progress made, and the collective work carried out to support student success and well-being.
“The 2024–2025 year was marked by dynamic collaboration, renewed determination, and a steadfast commitment to every student’s success. Thanks to the dedication of staff, community partners, and families, we provided an inclusive, motivating, and supportive learning environment. Together, we will continue building welcoming schools where every student can truly thrive,” emphasized Natalie Joncas-Raymond, Director of Education at CSPNE.
These appointments, combined with the presentation of the Annual Report, reflect the CSPNE’s priorities in terms of student success, inclusion, and a caring school environment.
