On January 27, the Office of the Ontario Minister of Education announced an investment of $19.9 million for the renovation and modernization of a new location for École publique Aux Quatre-Vents. The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is proud to have secured this funding, which will help enhance the Francophone learning environment for students from kindergarten to Grade 12 in the Parry Sound region.

This project also includes the addition of the region’s very first Francophone childcare center, which will offer 49 licensed childcare spaces within École publique Aux Quatre-Vents.

The CSPNE is enthusiastically launching the planning process and is committed to involving the school community in shaping the vision for this new school. Students, parents, and community members will be invited to actively contribute to the design process by sharing their ideas and perspectives. To this end, the council will ensure transparent and regular communication, keeping the community informed of each stage of the project.

The CSPNE also wishes to express its gratitude to the Ministry of Education for this strategic investment—the only one in Northern Ontario—which will help provide students with a modern, inclusive learning environment that supports their success.

Attached, you will find an information document published by the Government of Ontario on this announcement.
