North Bay – At its regular meeting on June 15, 2018, Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) approved a balanced budget of $51,418,352 dollars for the 2018-2019 school year.
The 2018-2019 budget presented by the CSPNE meets the objectives identified in the 2017-2021 Strategic Plan. The School Board's priority is to ensure the well-being and success of students and staff.
According to CSPNE Chairperson Denis Labelle, the proposed and approved budget reflects the Board’s efficient and transparent management. “The Board’s budget process is rigorous and focused on achieving the targeted results for the 2018-2019 school year. “
In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, and North Bay with quality French-language education. Close to 2,200 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
