North Bay - Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce that April Rosenberger has been appointed Acting Superintendent of Education.
A dedicated member of the CSPNE team since September 2000, Mrs. Rosenberger has played a key role in the Board by taking on various leadership responsibilities and a wide range of portfolios. As an educator, resource teacher, educational consultant, school principal and Director of Student Engagement and Retention services, she always promoted student and staff development.
“April Rosenberger meets the needs and expectations of the CSPNE administrative team. We believe she will certainly contribute actively to the implementation of the Board’s strategic plan focusing on excellence and a sense of belonging and well-being “, indicated Director of Education Simon Fecteau.
According to CSPNE Chair Denis Labelle, this decision is in keeping with the Board’s vision for the future. “We are confident that the addition of Mrs. Rosenberger to our administrative team will enhance our initiatives and projects which are designed to foster student learning, development and success in all our schools.”
April Rosenberger will assume her duties for the 2018-2019 school year effective August 1. She will replace Linda Lacroix who recently accepted the position of French-language Teaching and Learning Branch Director at the Ministry of Education for one year with possibility of renewal. CSPNE wishes Mrs. Rosenberger and Mrs. Lacroix continued success in their new positions.
In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Hearst, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, and North Bay with quality French-language education. Close to 2,200 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
