CSPNE appoints new Director of Student Success and Accountability

North Bay, Ontario - The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Pierre Girouard as Director of Student Success and Accountability.

A member of the CSPNE team since 2004, Mr. Girouard has actively contributed to the advancement of systemic instructional practices and schools as a teacher, a numeracy leader and, since 2012, as a technology coordinator and resource person for learning and teaching through technology.  Among his many experiences, he has collaborated in the development of lessons for STEAM and digital citizenship education and the continuum of learning in the digital age.  He has also participated in the CSPNE's leadership succession plan and instructional leadership camp in addition to receiving Microsoft certifications relevant to his new role.  

"Pierre Girouard's arrival on the management team meets the expectations and needs of the pedagogical team as well as CSPNE's vision of continuous improvement.  He has demonstrated leadership, strong project management and problem solving skills that are largely positive for the advancement of the board and the schools while supporting student success," said Director of Education Yves Laliberté.

The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est wishes Mr. Pierre Girouard every success in this new professional adventure which begins on October 1st.    

In accordance with universal values, the CSPNE covers an area of 46,453 km2 and provides the communities of Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Timmins, Temiskaming Shores, Sturgeon Falls, North Bay and Parry Sound with quality French-language education. Close to 2,100 northeastern Ontario students have chosen French-language public schools.
