For Immediate Release

Hearst - The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean-François Sylvestre as Vice-Principal of École publique Passeport Jeunesse.

Mr. Sylvestre is a motivated educator who believes in continuous improvement.  Well known and appreciated by the school's students and staff, Mr. Jean-François has been a teacher at Passeport Jeunesse since 2016.  An inspiring and inspirational leader, it's only natural for him to accompany and support his colleagues to encourage and participate in the success and well-being of students and staff members.

Yves Laliberté, Director of Education, confirms that Mr. Sylvestre is a positive choice for the Hearst school community and the great CSPNE team.  "Mr. Sylvestre has demonstrated his commitment and great sense of pedagogy within the school for many years.  His community involvement is also impressive.  We are confident that Jean-François' appointment will help maintain the quality of education offered at Passeport Jeunesse and achieve the objectives set by the school and the CSPNE."

Mr. Sylvestre's appointment fills the vacancy left by Ms. Shana Verrier, who earlier this summer accepted the position of Special Education Consultant for the Hearst and Kapuskasing region.  The CSPNE takes this opportunity to thank Ms. Verrier for her obvious dedication and remarkable leadership, and wishes Mr. Sylvestre every success as he takes up his new position on August 19.
