For Immediate Release

Timmins - The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l'Ontario (CSPNE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Josée Laforce as Vice-Principal of École publique Lionel-Gauthier in Timmins.  She will support Principal Natalie Lévesque-Racicot, effective August 19, 2024.

Ms. Laforce is well established in Timmins' French-language public education system, having worked there for nearly 15 years.  A committed and dedicated teacher at École secondaire publique Renaissance, she arrives at Lionel-Gauthier in September 2022.  A proud francophone and accessible role model for those around her, she sincerely believes that every student has a place and that all students can succeed.

Yves Laliberté, Director of Education, believes that Ms. Laforce will make a positive contribution to the Lionel-Gauthier school community and the greater CSPNE team.  "We are convinced that Josée Laforce's skills, leadership and vision will benefit the Timmins schools, but especially the success and well-being of our students and staff.”

Ms. Laforce's appointment fills the vacancy left by Robert Tremblay, who recently accepted the position of principal at École publique aux Quatre-Vents in Parry Sound.
